We're ready to deliver another useful free and ad-free tool to get out digital hashes directly from your Android device !!!
A digital hash (or checksum) is like a signature, a fingerprint. Hash And Compare has two main usages.
The first is to calculate the hash checksum of a file with a specific algorithm. A typical use case is when you want to check the integrity of a file downloaded from a remote server (that commonly publishes the hash).
The second is a situation where you want to calculate checksums of two files to verify their equality/diversity, in other words to compare them.
The hash algorithm is selectable among CRC32, MD5, SHA-1, SHA-256, SHA-384, SHA-512. And when you obtain the hash of a file you can copy its information to the clipboard and reuse it, for example, to send an email or a chat message.
Please note the computational effort (cpu load and/or elaboration time) required to generate hash checksum varies in function of file size and selected algorithm (and of course of your device hardware power). As a facility for long computations Hash And Compare will turn on your device (without unlocking it) to indicate the hash is ready.
Hash And Compare is very light (about 200 kb) and not intrusive because it requires very few permissions to operate. For every question please write us, we will reply as soon as possible.
Totally free and ad free. Please LIKE on Facebook, +1 on Google Plus, write a review on Google Play and promote Hash And Compare. And try our other apps. Your support is our reward. Thank you.

Required permissions are for:
android.permission.READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE : read files to calculate hash
android.permission.WAKE_LOCK : turn on device when hash is ready
android.permission.VIBRATE : system notifications

please add an option to "paste from clipboard" in second line, so we can compare the pasted text in second line with calulated hash in first line. now it is not very useful to calculate hash for two files because usually we have one downloaded file and its related hash to verify with.
