KITKAT DEVICES: Google imposed several restrictions in Android 4.4.x Kitkat for non-system user apps. External MicroSD card is not freely manageable anymore as before. Now you can write to MicroSD only into a specific app-dedicated location and My APKs Pro will help you to choose it when you go to SETTINGS and change the backup folder. Or you can decide to manually select a folder (of internal storage, for example). Generally, rooted devices can write everywhere.
CAUTION: if you backupped to the MicroSD app-dedicated location and you uninstall My APKs Pro, YOU WILL LOOSE YOUR SAVED APK because Android removes that app-dedicated location when uninstalling My APKs Pro. To avoid that, before uninstalling My APKs Pro make a copy onto a PC/USB or move into another location of your MicroSD with the system file manager of your device. Please note it's Android to delete the app-dedicated location, not My APKs Pro.
LOLLIPOP AND NEWER DEVICES: since Android 5.0 Lollipop to write everywhere on external MicroSD card you must explicitly acquire write permission on it (see sd card write access setting for details).
Since Android 6 Marshmallow the new Doze mode for energy saving may block My APKs Pro autobackup service. If it happens with your device you can put My APKs Pro in Doze whitelist to avoid it's blocked (please see FAQ below for further details).

My APKs Pro will make a backup of installed applications on your phone/tablet, allowing you to restore them without an internet connection and avoiding Google/Amazon appstore long search and download times.
Obviously, My APKs Pro incremental restore will provide you a simple way to reinstall in more than one step your backupped apps after a full reset of your device.
Moreover, My APKs Pro will give you the power of easily sharing apps with peoples or devices by email, bluetooth, wifi, instant messaging and loading onto remote storage (doing de facto a cloud backup).
Another important aspect of My APKs Pro is its ability to generate basic and detailed reports of installed applications with appstore links and information.
Last but not least, My APKs Pro autobackup service is capable to backup new or updated applications even without your intervention.
NOTE: My APKs Pro doesn't use/require root permissions therefore it cannot backup app settings and data, it only backups the apk.
OPERATIONAL MODES
My APKs Pro has an easy to use interface showing a scrollable list of installed applications. You may tap a specific app and execute an action from contextual menu. Or you may check multiple applications (the status bar will report how many are checked and how much space they occupy) and choose a main menu action - backup, verify, share or report. The status bar indicates too the current backup location.
MAIN ACTIONS
If you tap menu icon (three squares on the title bar) a sliding menu will allow you the following actions:
Donate/In-app shows the donations and the items you can buy with in-app purchase to support the development. Please note donations do not unlock extra features nor remove trial. They are just donations ("A donation is money or other thing given typically for charitable purposes and/or to benefit a cause"). The SYNC AND KILL button should force an account synchronization (requires internet connection) and kills the app that should restart, useful to get updated purchases if your device is lazy.
Backup saves a copy of selected applications into the memory storage location of your preference (you specify it in SETTINGS, see below). My APKs Pro is also capable of doing an incremental backup by skipping already backupped apps and adding only new ones, resulting in a very fast backup process (again in SETTINGS, set skip for apk collision mode). For every paid/protected/not backuppable app My APKs Pro will save an html file containing apk details, appstore links and error message. These special .apk.html files are automatically processable with My APKs Install during restore phase (see MORE APPS).
Verify does a comparison between installed and backupped applications to guarantee the integrity of backup (for example, your microsd card could corrupt), avoiding future failing restore operation.
Share allows the sharing of selected items as attachment via email, bluetooth, wifi, instant messaging, storage apps and others.
Report creates a basic or detailed list of selected applications in HTML, PDF or TXT format and in case opens and/or shares it when the report generation is done.

Please note that during restore process you must confirm installation of every single apk, as required by Android security rules. A great facility is the fact you can set My APKs Pro to show only apk not already restored, this way you can easily reinstall a big number of apps in different successive rounds. since Android 5.0 Lollipop to write without limitations on external MicroSD card you must explicitly acquire write permission with this setting, please follow the instructions as described in MicroSD Card write access on Android 5.0 (if your device is rooted and already can write freely to MicroSD card, leave blank this setting) - backup and report folder
a selectable location of internal or external storage of your device where My APKs Pro can save apk and report (you must also use the sd card write access setting if you are on Android Lollipop or newer and you want to save to a MicroSD card location different from the app-dedicated one) - user interface theme [darkflat,night*,day*,holo,dark,light]
you can make My APKs Pro appearance holo, dark or light based - show icon in notification area [no,yes,persistent]
if set to yes My APKs Pro notification icon will stay in notification area until exit, if set to persistent the notification will be showed there even after rebooting the device and the icon will be coloured when My APKs Pro is already loaded and greyed when not in memory - load system apps [no,yes,updated]

AUTOBACKUP SERVICE

when you set to yes My APKs Pro autobackup service starts and backups new or updated apps at every specified interval (see the next setting), the autobackup service still does its job after a device reboot, so if you wanna turn it off change the setting to no - autobackup service starts every (minutes)
time interval, in minutes, within which the autobackup service waits (a too low interval may drain your device battery quickly) - notify autobackup completion with sound [no,yes]
you may be advised with a sound when autobackup service found and backupped new apps - backup updated system apps [no,yes]

RESTORE

SHARE

- I bought My APKs Pro, why am I seeing trial/ads?
The previous 2.1 update of My APKs Pro was released in October 2015. Development then stopped for its costs for almost two years. The new 3.0 update introduce a lot of improvements and many parts of My APKs Pro has been rewritten from scratch to adapt to newer Android versions. And got ads. Nowadays from 4.1 release, based on many users feedback, we removed the advertising making My APKs Pro trialware (expires after a certain number of uses, you can unlock by in-app purchase).
IMPORTANT: If you purchased ads removal for previous 3.x/4.0 versions the trial period will be automatically unlocked (use DONATE/IN-APP purchases synchronization button if not), if you purchased My APKs Pro 2.1 or older please write us by email and we will unlock trial (you must send us the purchase order id or the email account you used for purchasing). Please note if you got My APKs Pro FOR FREE with promotions then you did NOT purchase it, so please be honest don't leave a negative review. - My antivirus claims My APKs Pro is a virus/malware! What should I do?
My APKs Pro is NOT a virus/malware. It has been downloaded thousands and thousands of times and passed all Google Play checks and Play Protect. Consider also antivirus software is not perfect and sometimes its alerts are just a false positive (read more here). Please add My APKs Pro to whitelist/safelist of your antivirus to avoid malfunction. However, you can uninstall My APKs Pro if you feel better or much secure! But please don't leave negative comments/review because you will damage developers, we can't do anything to remove false positives. - I've found My APKs Pro on alternative sites, is it safe to download and install from there?
Absolutely NOT. The only official source for My APKs Pro is Google Play app store (see previous question too). By downloading unofficial/unauthorized/hacked/cracked copies of My APKs Pro you expose yourself and your device to malicious code, virus, malware and other dangerous things. Moreover, the only way to receive official My APKs Pro updates is by Google Play. - My device has Android 5 Lollipop or newer and I can not write to external MicroSD card. What should I do?
You must explicitly give write permission to My APKs Pro, as explained above in this page. Please read MicroSD Card write access on Android 5.0 for a detailed demo with screenshots. - On my device I noticed My APKs Pro autobackup service is delayed or not work at all, what should I do?
Since Android 6 Marshmallow the new Doze mode may block My APKs Pro autobackup service. If it happens with your device you can put My APKs Pro in Doze whitelist to avoid it's blocked. To open Doze whitelist go to Android Settings, then Battery, then open the top right menu and choose Battery optimization. Change Not optimized to All apps. Find My APKs Pro, tap it and then choose Don't optimize. - Does My APKs Pro save my apps/games data and configuration?
No, My APKs Pro only saves apps/games apk. To backup and restore data and configuration, root permissions are required (and of course a rooted device). See the next question too. - Does My APKs Pro require root access?
No, My APKs Pro works on all devices (rooted or not) and does not require/use root permissions. - Will My APKs Pro be translated into my language?
No, sorry. Translations are costly and add complexity to the software (they may lead to additional bugs). My APKs Pro has very few text sentences inside it but, to help users in having a better understanding of its features, we have written this detailed page that can be translated in your language with the TRANSLATE DROP-DOWN BOX on top of the right column. - Will My APKs Pro be redesigned with material design?
Probably not. We think material design is not for every app, would you ask material design for games too? Try to look the playstore, very few backup apps are using material design. Instead we will give users more themes we can. And, again, please don't leave negative comments/review for no material design. - If I change my device will I lose my in-app purchases?
Absolutely not! If you change your device (for example, you buy a new smartphone) your purchases will be automatically restored if you use the same account you already used on your previuos device. Sometimes this process may take awhile. In those cases you can try to manually force the synchronization of your account to speed up the thing (see DONATE/IN-APP).
